Problem display

Postby Wagx » Wed Sep 15, 2021 6:17 pm

My display had some bad lines.

Can something be done to fix it?

Was it working before without issue?

IF so. Could be a loose cable to the LCD panel inside?

Yes I am thinking it is the ribbion cable that has come loose and needs reseating and or the connection needs cleaning.

Yes that doesn't look the best and looks like a rushed job. Are you confident in fixing it yourself?

You only need to heat up what is there with a soldering iron to make it neater and let it cool.

There are a ton of videos on YouTube you can check out if you are not sure.

Hope you get it sorted.

I did the repair and everything resolved.

returned to normal, as expected.

Conclusion: I had the misfortune of having a product that was poorly assembled(*).

Now everything is working again.

*one screw is missing next to the micro usb, i put a new one but to my surprise this screw makes the usb not fit in the cut of the plastic box, so it is necessary to leave without.
