And I'm not sure If It's still comparable.

With RTSS 6.5 running, goverlay doesn't seem to detect games and change to the gaming profile nor does it detect FPS.

This might just be something I'm doing wrong, but please let me know If it works for you.

Hoping for an update of goverlay if need be :)

Thanks :)

It should work, i havent tested it myself, but unless something drastically changed, it should still work.
Can you check the status tab of GOverlay to see the 3D apps detected? Also, which game are you testing, it could be a specific DX version not detected.

Just to clarify, RTSS 6.5 added support for DX12

This is my goverlay with RTSS 6.5 -

So, It's still detecting everything right I believe, just that the profile Isn't switching to "While gaming" nor is it detecting FPS in "APP: 3D Stats - Current FPS"

Let me know If you need any other info.

I've only changed RTSS version, nothing else on my system has changed.

*EDIT* - Just got this info from the RTSS creator:
"There were some changes in RTSS shared memory layout related to 3D API identification flags interpretation after adding DX12 support. Most likely GOverlay rely on that data and stop displaying FPS if it cannot identify 3D API properly. If that's the case, then shared memory version handling should be added there."

Thanks for the info including the unwinder comments!

Try this version

http://goverlay.com/UserFiles/GOverlay/ ... _2016a.zip

Its just the rtss_hook.dll, overwrite the one in your GOverlay folder (make sure GOverlay is not running first), and see if it detects the games.

Thank you for trying though, happy to be your guinea pig for testing purposes :)

*Edit* This happens when I close goverlay with that new RTSS_Hook.dll

Did you overwrite the older version?

Do a right click on the RTSS_Hook.dll and click on properties, in the security tab, make sure the file is not locked

Yes and not locked

Just checked the log file -

20/11/16 2:39:21 PM:Error doing OUT render: Unable to load DLL 'rtss_hook.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
20/11/16 2:39:21 PM: at GOverlay.Form1.DoRender(IntPtr A_0, String A_1, Int32 A_2)
at GOverlay.Form1.a(IntPtr A_0, String A_1, Int32 A_2)

That repeats constantly.

*Edit* Unrelated, but is it possible to subscribe to this thread?

I enabled the subscribe.
Try this version:
http://goverlay.com/UserFiles/GOverlay/ ... _2016b.zip

You need all 4 files, put them in the GOverlay folder

So far so good, working with DX12 games now too :)

I'll let you know If I have any issues at all.

Thank you for working on this for me, hopefully others find it useful too :)
