Plugin for Flight Sims/ Il2 - Cliffs of Dover

I just discovered GOverlay, it seems it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm part of a thriving sim community - Il2 cliffs of dover and I know many people are looking for a solution like this. What does it take to develop a plugin to go with this sim? Do we have to order production of it or is it simply a question of supply and demand? Alternatively can we do it ourselves?
The guys on the ATAG forums(home of the il2 CloD crowd these days) have already released a devicelink and managed to get it going on a second monitor, see here: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/f ... 6&p=111898
I assume the implementation with GOverlay will be slightly different. I'm quite excited about having found this product, hope I can find out more about it!
