Uploading new icons?

Hello, sorry, total noob here. Is there a tutorial or manual on how to use this software? All I want to do at the moment is upload a new icon and maybe even change the color of an existing icon. I've so far found no information on all this and it just makes me really confused on how everyone on this site has been able to make such amazing displays.

If you are talking about the 3.5'' display, first you need to identify which icon it is, once you know its name, you can go to the Upload tab and double click on it on the list on the left, it will open the image for you.
Then, edit that image and once its modified, select it to upload, it will overwrite the existing one and it will show up in the display.
Remember to mantain the width/height and type of image when modifying it.

It is the 3.5" display, sorry I didn't mention that.

How am I supposed to edit it? Double clicking it just opens it in Windows Photos and if I try to open it in Photoshop from there it only opens a copy. I tried saving it back to the GOverlay/LCDSysInfo2/downloaded-files directory (which is where Windows Photos said the file was located) but opening it again in GOverlay just gives me the original file and overwrites what I'd saved to downloaded-files.

Maybe this would be easier: How would I upload a new image?

You need to upload it once you modify it.
Click on the right-bottom button " select files to upload", pick the file and then click " upload list to the device" and it will ask to overwrite it
