Goverlay devices not listed in Win 10

Postby Amfortas98 » Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:13 pm

Hello all.

I'm a first-time poster, but a long time viewer and supporter. I have both screens created to work with the Goverlay software. I use each screen to display different information. Everything ran well under my Windows 10 until I did my ritual quarterly OS reinstall. I was planning to add my Goverlay set up to my restore OS image once I got all the basics set up.

I've run into a very odd issue with setting up these screens. Neither one shows up in the system devices list (unknown or otherwise) as they had always done in the past. The first natural thing I tried was to change the USB port they are plugged into. Regardless what USB I tried, neither showed up in the device list.

This has become very frustrating for me. I can't come up with any good explanations. So, in an attempt of preventing reinstalling the OS from "scratch", I'm reaching out to the community. Have any of you experienced this issue? If so, what solution(s) worked?

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

Do you hear the windows sound of plugging a usb device when you plug it in?

Did you try with a different cable?

Does the device turns on (the display) ?

Also, try showing hidden devices on the device manager.

Also, try the goverlay tester in case it throws any useful information
