Windows 10 error code 29

Postby Sergio » Sun Nov 05, 2017 8:57 pm

I need to install goverlay 3.5 ( my 2.8 works)
but I got the message :

This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)

so, YES I did as the faq said, and I did the ZADIG trick, I reboot, I reinstalled the usb drivers, but NOTHING is working,
that f****** windows 10 wont let me install the driver!

Please, help me!

P.S. one other thing...
If I unplug the 2.8 cable an plug the 3.5, it will work! (the 3.5)
So I checked the usb cables, and they both work ok!!! WTF??

Seems like it could be a hardware issue regarding the usb ports you are using.
Can you try swap the usb port for the 2.8 and the 3.5? also try different ports, do not use any hub

Could be, it works with usb 3.0 and 3.1 but could be something with that port or the amount of devices running in that port (using too many resources).
You can try connecting it to a different USB port on the back.

They all got something in it.
Guess I will have to get a PCIe 3.0 card...

That's odd. I bet it has something to do with that particular USB port. It works on my 3.1.
