Hello,

I'm trying to get my 3.5" display to work. I have GOverlay v1.6.4 and I have already installed the 3.5" drivers (I had to disable signature verification as per the FAQ).

However, when I load up GOverlay I get this error repeatedly:

In the GOverlay "Status" window, it says LCDSysInfo 3.5 is "Enabled" but "Not Detected"

My actual display is totally black with just the backlight on - I can actually adjust the backlight brightness under the Output-->LCDSysInfo 3.5"-->Settings-->LCD Brightness (up to 255) setting... so it seems like the display is connected properly, but some how the software isn't reading it completely.

Any advice on how to get this working?

Can you provide a screenshot of how it shows up in the device manager?

I ran the GOverlay tester and copied the results to a Pastebin link: https://pastebin.com/Jd8ZZXc6

Everytihng seems fine in the logs.
In the lcdsysinfo 3.5 tab, does it show its enabled?

Here's what I am doing:

1) Open GOverlay v1.6.4
2) In the "Status" tab, it says "LCDSysInfo 3.5; Enabled; Not Detected"
3) In the "LCDSysInfo 3.5"" tab, under Statistics, it's all zeroes. No USB/Draw/Cache/Sensors/Render. Well, actually, the Sensors and Render will sometimes switch from zero to one then back to zero.

OH! I got it to work! I just realized... I never set a profile, so it was just on the Default, which was blank. Thanks anyway for all your help! Now I just need to figure out how to get my sensors from HWInfo64 to work and I'll be all set.

Glad you got it to work, but, doesnt sound like a profile issue, if it said " not detected" on the lcdsysinfo 3.5 then the device was not being detected.
Now it says detected?

I'm having the same issue but I'm using the 2.8 screen.

have you properly installed the driver?

Unfortunately, my error has returned. I had unplugged and not used the device for about 3-4 months, and upon plugging it back in, I am receiving the same "Error opening device" and "Init" spam errors in the log. The screen on my LCD display says "LCDsysinfo for GOverlay v2.0 run GOverlay for configuration" but I have the software open. In the bottom-right icon on my desktop, if I hover over the software icon, it says "GOverlay is not running"

Any advice would be really helpful.
