I've made retro-like display and mounted it in my case. Fortunately my case has a glass window. There are some parameters customized to my PC and network, i.e. in the downer left corner the MoP-latency (it is the latency to my own DNS-Server.) I hope you like it.

Hey guys, just wanted to share this with you.
I managed to put the display into my case, but I was not satisfied with how it looked (and it wasn't fixed pretty well).
So I bought such an SSD mount from 2,5" to fit into 3,5" and the 3.5" display fits perfectly into that mount.

Looks pretty good in my case now and much better than before.
I bought magnets and stick them to the "top" of the mount, so I can easily attach the whole mount to the case and am able to replace or move it if needed.
Would be perfect if the mount would be available in white, but black fits nicely with the display itself.

How did you attach your display into your case?
I've seen some of you added it in front of the power supply tunnel, which is not possible in my case, so I had to find an other way.

Since the Share your profiles feature on the GOverlay app doesn't work, I thought I'd share my profile here:

This is an updated version of gen01 created by Genesis2812. I changed the dimensions to make better use of the available space and updated the colour to better suit my system.

Here's the profile if you want to import it:

GOverlay displays a custom loop I don't yet have... yet!
Only ~4 weeks to go. Will follow up!

BTW, the Layout is based on excellent work of dedead - find it in the Shared Profiles.

I wanted ti share my profile.

This is how i edited the LCDInfo display.

What do you think about it?

One question: is it possible to use transparent immages on this display? If so how? The "Thunder" should be transparent, but in BMP i don't find any transparency.

This is an Immage on how it looks on my PC:

Hey, I love your display, I already tried to rebuilt your display, but it was not so easy. Can you share your profile please, it is so nice!

Alex

Transparency is decided by the color C541BD.
Everything that has this color is transparent.

BUT the software in your display detects transparecncy during upload of the BMP and later builds the icon up pixel by pixel deciding if it is shown or not shown (transparent).
I tested with my profile and it consumes a massive amount of time slowing down the redraw.

For static BMP that are not within changing areas it should work, as only changing BMP are updated at all.
