Is there a step-by-step guide on how to set this up?

I've installed GOverlay ver. 1.4.2, I have OpenHW monitor and Skype, yet my little 2.8" screen refuses to come out of Energy saving mode. I've tried pressing 'enable' on everything and I'm getting a bit overwhelmed and lost at all the options. Can anybody help me set it up?

Did it ever shown the GOverlay start screen? what does it show on the screen?
Sounds like the device is not being detected by GOverlay/Drivers not installed.

Can you check what the LOG tab in GOverlay says and if in the device manager GOverlay shows as installed?

It never showed the GOverlay start screen. It shows the "LCDSysinfo for GOverlay run GOVERLAY for configuration" for a while then goes back to the Energy saving mode.

In the LOG tab in GOverlay it says Init and Error opening device. In Device manager LCDsysinfo (GOverlay) under device status it is Code 28, or

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."

EDIT: My SM Bus Controller is also not installed, which I will update through slimdrivers now

EDIT2: I can't seem to install the SM Bus Controller driver, is it required for GOverlay?

Oh my god I am a NF. I didn't install the driver. I'm running 8.1, and it's now working. Thanks so much :D :D :D :D
